3. Not Ashamed

"Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord."

These words of Paul to Timothy followed his admonition that God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

The phrase "not ashamed" is found 3 times in the first chapter of 2 Timothy.

It is evident that Timothy had fears about standing up for Christ in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation. Can you relate?
