11. Aim Higher
How high are you aiming on a daily basis to bring God glory?
A classic devotional by Oswald Chambers is titled, "My Utmost for His Highest." He only lived to be 43 and died while serviing as chaplain to British Commonwealth troops in Egypt during World War I.
The title does beg the question, "How high am I aiming each day for God's glory?"
It is likely that our often below-average results in the Christian life are the result of not aiming high enough. And not taking up Jesus' cross daily to follow Him.
According to the word of God, our daily aim ought to be holiness. The will of God is that we would know how to possess our vessel (body) in sanctification and honour.
1 Thessalonians 4:7 says, "For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness."
